The fastest way to reach us is the phone. Patrick or one of our office staff — Rachel or Marisol — answers calls during business hours, and the emergency line is monitored after hours, on Sundays, and on holidays. We’re a small, locally owned shop, so when you call you’re talking to someone who actually knows your job, not a regional dispatcher routing tickets from another state.

What to Expect When You Call

We don’t put you through a phone tree. The person who picks up the phone can answer most questions on the spot and book you on the schedule before you hang up. For service calls, we’ll ask a handful of questions to make sure we send the right technician with the right parts:

  • What’s the equipment doing — or not doing? (“No heat,” “blowing warm air on cooling,” “loud noise from the outdoor unit,” etc.)
  • How old is the system, and what brand is it? If you don’t know, the data plate on the equipment will tell us.
  • Where are you located? So we can match you with the closest available technician.
  • Is this an emergency? No heat in sub-freezing weather, no AC in extreme heat, suspected gas smell, or water leaking from HVAC equipment gets prioritized over routine service.

If we can troubleshoot the issue over the phone without sending a technician, we will. Sometimes the answer is “check that the thermostat batteries aren’t dead” or “the breaker in your panel labeled ‘air handler’ has tripped” — and we’d rather save you a service call than pad our schedule.

Emergency Service

True HVAC emergencies in our climate fall into a few categories:

  • No heat during sub-freezing weather — pipe-freeze risk and immediate occupant safety concern
  • No AC during extreme heat — particularly for households with elderly residents, infants, or anyone medically vulnerable to heat
  • Suspected gas leak — call your gas utility first (Dominion Energy: 800-323-5517), then call us once the leak is isolated
  • Water leaking from HVAC equipment — condensate overflow, evaporator coil leak, or burst lineset insulation can cause significant property damage if not addressed quickly
  • Carbon monoxide alarm activation — exit the home, ventilate, call 911 or your gas utility, then call us once the home is safe to enter

For genuine emergencies after hours, call (385) 250-0687 and the emergency line will route to the on-call technician. Same-day arrival on the vast majority of after-hours emergency calls; typical response under 2 hours during business hours.

Request a Free Estimate

If you’re considering a new system, a major upgrade, or want a second opinion on a quote you’ve received elsewhere, we’d be glad to come out for a free in-home estimate. Estimates include a Manual J load calculation, measurement of existing equipment and ductwork, and a written quote with line items — usually emailed to you within 24 hours of the visit.

Call (385) 250-0687 or email info@aegisheatingandair.xyz to schedule. Estimates typically take 45–60 minutes on-site for a residential project; longer for commercial work or unusual situations.

Financing Applications

Financing applications can be started by phone, email, or in our office. Rachel handles financing paperwork and walks you through options — 0% interest promotional periods on approved credit and longer-term fixed-rate plans for larger projects. See our financing page for details, or ask Rachel any specific questions when you call.
